Trevor Howell is a reporter, editor, and co-founder of The Confluence Podcast based in Calgary, Alberta, who writes on government accountability, municipal and provincial politics, education and environmental issues.

Howell’s work sparked a public interest investigation into the RCMP’s seizure of firearms from evacuated High River homes, revealed transparency failures at Calgary City Hall, and uncovered political ratfucking.
His coverage of the 2013 Alberta floods and contributions to a national investigation into contaminated drinking water has won top Canadian journalism prizes, including a National Newspaper Award.
